Build a Workflow by Describing It to the AI Builder
The AI Builder turns a plain-language request into a complete workflow draft: trigger, actions, waits, and branches. You then review it and adjust, which is usually much faster than assembling every step by hand.
Where to start it
- On Automation > Workflows, click Build using AI and type your request.
- Inside a new, empty workflow, use the prompt box on the canvas. You can dictate instead of typing.
- Open the AI chat assistant from within the builder and ask it to create the automation.
Create your first AI workflow
- Write what you want, including the event, the messages, timing, and any apps involved. For example: "When someone books a consultation, text them a confirmation, wait one day before, and email a reminder."
- Optionally mention the workflow name or settings, such as re-entry, stop on response, business hours, or sender details.
- Click Build Workflow (or press send) and wait a few moments while it generates.
- Review the result on the canvas and open each step to confirm the content.
- Save and test before you publish.
Refine the draft
- Chat edits: ask for changes in everyday words, such as "make that wait 48 hours" or "rename and turn off re-entry." It remembers the conversation.
- Point and edit: select a specific step or group of steps and tell the AI what to change, leaving other steps untouched.
- Chat only: brainstorm ideas without altering the canvas.
If a prompt takes too long, shorten it and try again.
Good to know: Specific prompts produce better drafts, so name the trigger, the timing, and the channel for each message.
