Use a Video Background in a Section

You can play a muted looping video behind the content of any section, row or column for a modern, high-impact look.

Turn it on

  1. Select the section, row or column in the builder.
  2. In the settings on the right, change BG media type to Video.
  3. Choose a clip from your Media Library.
  4. Click Preview to see it in your browser.

Choose how the video fits

  • Fit: shows the whole video at its original proportions. Empty bands may appear if the shapes differ.
  • Fill: stretches the video to fill the area, which can distort it.
  • Cover: fills the area while keeping proportions and crops whatever overflows. This is usually the best choice.

Soften it with opacity

The background opacity setting lets you dim the video so text stays readable:

  • None: fully solid video.
  • Light Fade: slightly transparent.
  • Half Fade: about 50 percent transparent.
  • Heavy Fade: mostly see-through, acting as a subtle backdrop.

Loop or play once

With Video Loop on, the clip restarts automatically when it ends. Turn it off for a one-time intro that stops on its last frame.

Tips

  • Keep clips short and compressed so pages load quickly.
  • Place a dark overlay or choose a fade when putting white text on top.
  • Check the mobile view, because some phones limit background video.

Good to know: Pick a clip with slow, simple motion; busy footage competes with your headline and hurts readability.
