Why Automate Your Affiliate Program with Workflows

Workflows can take over repetitive affiliate tasks so your program scales without extra admin hours. Build them under Automation > Workflows.

What You Can Automate

  • Onboarding: Start a workflow when an affiliate is created or enrolled in a campaign to send welcome messages and alert your team.
  • Lead assignment: React to new affiliate leads, or assign contacts to an affiliate and campaign.
  • Sales follow-up: Run steps after each affiliate-attributed sale, such as tagging the buyer or notifying staff.
  • Commission entries: Record manual or offline sales automatically.
  • Status and membership: Mark affiliates active or inactive and add or remove them from campaigns.

Benefits

  1. Saves time on repeat tasks.
  2. Reduces mistakes in lead assignment and commission entries.
  3. Keeps affiliates informed and motivated.
  4. Handles growth without extra effort.

One Important Caution

Sale-based workflows commonly run on the buyer's contact record. A standard Send Email or Send SMS step may therefore message the customer, not the affiliate. When the message is meant for the affiliate, use an action designed for affiliate communication.

Where to Go Next

Open the dedicated articles on each trigger and action for step-by-step setup.

Good to know: Start with a single onboarding workflow, test it with a dummy affiliate, then add more.
