Understand Email Campaign Statuses

Every item in Marketing > Emails > Campaigns carries a status. Knowing what each one means tells you whether to wait, fix something or celebrate. There are three kinds of campaigns, each with its own set of labels.

Email Campaigns (manual broadcasts)

  • Draft: still being built. Edit freely before scheduling.
  • Sent: delivered to recipients. Results appear under Statistics.
  • Failed: could not send, often because of a sender or configuration problem. Review the setup before trying again.
  • Archived: hidden from the active view but not deleted.

Workflow Campaigns

  • Draft: created but not activated yet.
  • Published: live and sending to contacts as they trigger it.

Bulk Action Campaigns

These are emails sent to selected contacts straight from the Contacts area.

  • Draft: incomplete or not yet scheduled.
  • Queued: waiting to be processed.
  • Processing: being sent right now.
  • Paused: stopped temporarily and can be resumed.
  • Complete: sent to everyone.
  • Cancelled: stopped for good, so the remaining contacts will not receive it.

Each list also has an All filter that shows everything.

Common questions

  • To send a finished campaign again, duplicate it and pick a new audience.
  • To bring back an archived campaign, open Filters, choose Archived, select the campaign and click Unarchive.
  • You can archive or delete campaigns yourself, but other statuses change automatically.

Good to know: If a campaign shows Failed, check the sender email and domain first, since those are the usual cause.
