Automate Badge Issuance with Workflows

Badges use the same issuing mechanism as certificates, which means you can trigger them automatically from a workflow instead of sending them one by one.

Issuing a badge automatically

1. Go to Automation > Workflows and open (or create) a workflow.
2. Choose a trigger that represents the achievement — Lesson Completed, Quiz Submitted, or Form Submitted.
3. Add an Issue Certificate action pointed at a badge template instead of a certificate.
4. Select the badge you want awarded.
5. Save and publish.

Triggering follow-ups when a badge is awarded

Use the Badge Issued trigger to start a new workflow any time a contact receives any badge — useful for a congratulatory message, tagging them, or enrolling them in a follow-up sequence.
