Send Personalized Emails with the Send Email Action
Send Email delivers an email to the contact in your workflow at exactly the point you place it, whether that is a booking confirmation, a reminder or a follow-up.
Fields to complete
- Action Name: a label such as "Booking Confirmation Email".
- From Name and From Email: how the sender appears.
- Subject: keep it short and specific. Merge fields are allowed.
- Template or Email Body: pick a saved template or write your own. Insert merge fields like the contact's first name or appointment start time.
- Sync Edits to Template: shown when you start from a template. On means edits update both the workflow email and the template. Off keeps them separate.
- Attachments: choose a file from the Media Library or upload one.
- CC and BCC: click the buttons to reveal the fields, and separate several addresses with commas.
- Test Emails: enter an address and click Send Test Mail.
Set it up
- Open your workflow and click +, then choose Send Email.
- Name the action and fill in sender, subject and body.
- Send a test and review it in your inbox.
- Click Save Action and publish the workflow.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing sent: confirm the contact has a valid email and your sending domain is set up.
- Blank merge fields: the trigger or contact must supply that value. Appointment fields need an appointment-related trigger.
CC and BCC notes
CC and BCC recipients do not appear in email stats, test emails do not confirm their delivery, and invalid addresses are skipped without blocking the rest.
Good to know: Success or failure for the workflow is judged on the contact's own address, not the CC or BCC copies.
