Adding Schema Markup to a Page by Hand
Schema markup is structured data that tells search engines and AI assistants what a page is about, such as a local business, a product, an FAQ or an event. The Schema Markup tool in the editor lets you build it with guided fields or by pasting code, at no cost.
Add a Schema
- Go to Sites > Funnels or Websites and click Edit on the page or step.
- In the left panel open SEO & AI search optimization, then Schema Markup.
- Click + New Schema and choose Add Schema, then + Add Schema again in the pop-up.
- Pick a type, such as LocalBusiness, Product, Service, FAQPage, Article, Event or Review.
- Fill in the details using one of two views:
- Form View: guided fields, ideal if you are not technical.
- JSON View: paste or write JSON-LD for advanced properties.
- Click Validate & Save and fix anything highlighted.
- Save and publish the page. Schema stays in preview until you publish.
You can add more than one schema to a page, such as LocalBusiness plus FAQPage.
Best Practices
- Mark up only what visitors can see. Never add made-up reviews or hidden content.
- Choose the most specific type available, such as "Dentist" over generic "Local Business".
- Update it when hours, prices or contact details change.
- Add schema to every key page: home, contact, services, products and blog posts.
Remember
Schema belongs to one page and does not carry over to other pages or funnel steps. New pages made with AI do not receive it automatically, so add it after your content is final.
Good to know: Finish and proofread page content first, so your structured data matches the final wording.
