Understand LinkedIn Ad Statistics

LinkedIn results sit beside your Meta and Google reports so you can compare channels in one place. You can inspect performance at group, campaign and ad level.

Open the report

  1. Go to Marketing > Ad Manager > Statistics.
  2. Choose LinkedIn in the platform dropdown.
  3. Pick a date range.
  4. Click a group to see its campaigns, then a campaign to see its ads.

Metrics available

  • Impressions, Clicks, CTR: visibility and how many people clicked.
  • Spend, CPC, CPM: total cost, average cost per click, and cost per thousand impressions.
  • Leads and CPL: form submissions and average cost per lead (Lead Generation).
  • Conversions and cost per conversion: attributed website actions, when conversion tracking is set up (Website Traffic).
  • Lead form opens and completion rate: shown when available.
  • Status: Active, Paused or In Review.

Graphs plot impressions, clicks and conversions over your date range.

Read the numbers by goal

  • For Lead Generation, focus on leads, CPL and form completion rate.
  • For Website Traffic, focus on clicks, CTR and CPC, plus conversions if tracked.

Work with the data

  • Use Columns to show only the metrics you care about.
  • Click Export for a spreadsheet to share.
  • Pause, resume or edit campaigns from the dashboard.
  • Remember that ads In Review do not deliver until LinkedIn approves them.

If statistics are empty

Check that the campaign has started delivering, that the date range includes activity, and, for conversions, that tracking is configured.

Good to know: Compare CPL across campaigns with the same audience size; a cheaper lead from a tiny audience may not scale.
