Understand the Payouts Tab, Statuses and Payout Terms
Payouts are how earned commissions turn into payments. Vendi Today groups them by month and campaign, and a payout term controls when each one becomes due.
How Payouts Are Created
Pending payouts are generated on the first of every month from commissions earned. Each carries a Due date based on your payout term.
Payout Terms
A term delays payment after the month ends, giving time for refunds and chargebacks. Options:
- NET-7, NET-15, NET-30, NET-45, NET-60 and NET-90 (days after the month ends).
If you offer a 30-day refund policy, NET-30 means commissions are paid only after that window has passed. Set the term under Campaign > Additional Settings or in Global Settings. Affiliates can see their term in the portal.
The Four Tabs
- Pending: New payouts, organized by month and campaign. Open the three-dot menu to see the breakdown, approve eligible items, or choose Deny Payout.
- Approved for Payout: Ready to pay. Pay with PayPal automation, or pay manually and mark as paid. You can move an item back to Pending.
- Paid: Completed payouts with transaction dates. This status is final and cannot be edited.
- Denied Payouts: Anything denied from Pending or Approved.
Paying requires the Pay Affiliate Manager Payout permission; without it the action is hidden.
Commission Facts
- Commissions come from Stripe-processed sales and may be one-time or recurring.
- If a discount applied at checkout, commission is calculated on the discounted amount.
- Refunds are not removed from commissions automatically.
Good to know: Review refunds and chargebacks before approving, since approved payouts will include them unless you deny the item.
