Let Attendees Save Tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet
For in-person events, guests can keep their ticket in a phone wallet. The pass shows the same QR code staff scan at the door, so nothing changes at check-in.
What the Pass Shows
Event name, date and time in the event timezone, venue, ticket type, attendee name, and the check-in QR code. In a multi-ticket order, every ticket gets its own wallet link and pass.
Requirements
- The event must be in-person. Online events do not use wallet passes or QR check-in.
- The attendee must have completed registration or purchase.
How Attendees Get It
- On the confirmation screen after registering, tap the wallet option for their device.
- On the ticket PDF, tap the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet badge.
- In the confirmation message, if you add the link (below).
Add Wallet Links to Confirmations
- Go to Memberships, then Events, and open the in-person event.
- Open Settings, then Notifications.
- Under Attendee journey, find Registration confirmation (when they register) and click the pencil.
- Choose the Email, SMS, or WhatsApp tab.
- Insert the merge field {{event.ticket.wallet_links}} in the message.
- Click Save.
- Keep Include PDF ticket in the email selected if you want the PDF badges too.
FAQ
- Is the QR code different? No, it is the same code.
- Do online events get passes? No.
Good to know: Mention in your confirmation text that guests can add the ticket to their wallet; many will otherwise screenshot it.
