Attach Files to Documents and Templates
Sometimes an agreement needs supporting material — a spec sheet, a brochure, terms and conditions — alongside the main document itself. You can attach standalone files that go out with the document rather than trying to embed everything into the document body.
How to attach a file
- Open the document or template in Payments > Documents & Contracts.
- Click the gear/settings icon in the upper-left corner.
- Select Add Attachments, then Upload.
- Drag and drop the file or browse to select it.
- Wait for the upload to finish, then save.
File limits
- Accepted formats: SVG, PNG, JPG, and PDF.
- Maximum 15 MB per file, and up to 5 attachments per document.
- Keep the combined size of the document and its attachments under about 20 MB so email delivery isn't affected.
How attachments behave
- They arrive with the email as normal, downloadable attachments — recipients don't need to open the document itself to get them.
- If you send the document through a workflow, the attachments go along with it automatically.
- Recipients can remove an attachment they don't want to keep before it's finalized.
- If you duplicate a document to reuse it, its attachments carry over to the copy.
