Skip Card Entry on Free Orders

Free offers convert better without a card field. The Require Credit Card setting hides payment details when an order truly costs nothing.

When card fields are hidden

All three must be true:

  1. The total, including products, variants, bumps and coupons, is $0.
  2. No recurring charge or future billing is scheduled.
  3. The total has loaded and is stable.

If any is uncertain, such as a total that is still updating, card collection is shown to prevent errors. The free order is still recorded in submissions and order history.

Turn it on

  1. Open the form or survey that contains Sell Products.
  2. Click the Sell Products element.
  3. Switch off Require Credit Card.
  4. Click Save and test with a free product and with a 100% coupon.

Edge cases

  • Coupons: A full discount makes the total $0 and removes the payment field automatically.
  • Subscriptions or trials: A future charge means a card is still required.
  • Funnels: Works for embedded forms and on desktop and mobile.
  • Existing items: The toggle starts on, so nothing changes until you disable it.

Good uses

Lead magnets, free samples, complimentary consultations and promotional giveaways.

Good to know: Test a paid product too, so you know the card field still appears whenever the price is above zero.
