Check Email Addresses Before Sending with Email Verification

The Email Verification action checks whether a contact's email looks deliverable before your workflow emails them. Fewer bounces help protect your sender reputation.

What gets checked

Verification looks at signals such as address syntax, whether the domain is valid, whether the mailbox exists, and risk markers like disposable or low-quality addresses.

Requirements

  • Email Verification must be enabled for your account.
  • The contact must not be excluded from verification. Excluded contacts cause the action to be skipped.
  • The contact needs an email address.

Build the flow

  1. Add a trigger such as Contact Created.
  2. Click +, search for Email Verification and click Save Action.
  3. Add an If/Else after it and use the verification result, for example isEmailVerified, as the condition.
  4. On the verified path, continue to Send Email.
  5. On the other path, add a tag, a note, a DND change or an exit.
  6. Test, then save and publish.

Example

Contact enters, verification runs, verified addresses receive the welcome email, and risky or invalid addresses get a "Needs new email" tag plus a task for your team to collect a better one.

Good to know: Verification reduces bad sends but cannot promise inbox placement, which still depends on content, domain setup and engagement.
