Create a Conversion Pixel for Meta Conversion API
A conversion pixel in Ad Manager is the link between actions in Vendi Today and your Meta ads. Once created, a workflow can send events such as form submissions or pipeline progress back to Meta, helping it attribute and optimize.
Create the pixel
- Go to Marketing > Ad Manager and click Settings.
- Open the Conversions tab and review any existing pixels.
- Click Create new conversion pixel.
- Enter a clear name and finish the creation steps.
- Confirm the new pixel appears in the list.
Creating a pixel does not send data by itself. You must also add the Meta Conversion API action to a workflow.
Funnel events and lead events
- Funnel events report actions that start on your site or forms: Form Submitted, Survey Submitted, Customer Booked Appointment and Order Form Submission.
- Lead events report what happens to people who came from a Meta lead form, such as Facebook Lead Form Submission or a Pipeline Stage Change.
The same pixel works for both types. Match the event type to what actually happened.
Why attribution can fail
Meta can only match an event when the contact carries tracking data from the original ad click. Depending on the event this may be the click identifier, Paid Social (Facebook) attribution or the Facebook lead ID. If conversions do not show in Meta, check the contact record for that information.
Simplified setup
In the workflow action, choose the Ad Manager connection type. Your Ad Manager pixels are then listed for selection and Vendi Today handles the access token, so you do not need to paste one in.
Compliance
Meta restricts custom audiences and conversions that contain or imply sensitive information. Name pixels and events carefully and follow Meta's rules.
Good to know: Create one pixel per business or brand rather than one per campaign, so Meta accumulates conversion history in a single place.
