Start a Group SMS Conversation

For situations where several people need to be part of the same text conversation — a family booking, a small team coordinating logistics — Vendi Today supports group SMS threads instead of juggling separate one-on-one texts.

What it supports

• Between 2 and 9 participants in a single group thread.
• Text messages, images, and files shared to everyone in the group at once.
• Real-time delivery so every participant sees new messages as they arrive.
• Full message history visible to everyone in the group.
• Works on both desktop and mobile.

Requirements

• The number creating the group needs to be a number with SMS/MMS enabled.
• Participants need US or Canada phone numbers.
• You need access to whichever number is being used to create the group.

Limitations to know before you start one

• You can't add or remove participants after a group is created — the participant list is locked in at creation.
• If a contact has Do Not Disturb enabled, they'll be blocked from receiving group messages.
• The "From" number for a group thread can't be changed once it's set.

Notifications

Group conversations behave like any one-on-one conversation for notification purposes — you'll be alerted the same way you would for a regular text.
