Read Execution Logs and Enrollment History

Every workflow has two tabs that explain exactly what happened to each contact: Enrollment History shows who entered and how they left, while Execution Logs shows each step that ran.

Open the logs

  1. Go to Automation > Workflows and open the workflow.
  2. Click Execution Logs or Enrollment History in the top tabs.

Jump straight from a conversation

If you are looking at a particular message in Conversations, open its message details and click the workflow link under Workflow. You land on the matching execution with the contact already selected.

What you can read

  • Action names: rows show the name you gave each step, and hovering reveals the action type, so two emails in one workflow are easy to tell apart.
  • View Details: a link on each row opens a side panel with the full record of that step.
  • Error highlighting: a failed step highlights its status and link so problems stand out.
  • Current row marker: the row you are inspecting stays highlighted.
  • Filters: steps that belong to this workflow are listed first in the action filter.
  • Pagination: choose 10, 25, or 50 rows per page.

Exit statuses

  • Workflow Completed: the contact finished every step.
  • Removed by Workflow Action: a step in this workflow removed them.
  • Removed by External Workflow Action: a step in a different workflow removed them.

Merged contacts can show a Contact Merge entry, so you can see that a run continued under the surviving contact.

Good to know: When a contact says they never received something, start in Enrollment History to confirm they actually entered the workflow.
