Using the Footer Element
Every marketing email needs a footer. This element gives you a ready-made section for the details readers and regulations expect.
What belongs in a footer
- Your business name and mailing address.
- Contact details.
- An unsubscribe link.
- A privacy policy or terms link.
- Copyright text and short legal notes.
- Optional social icons.
Adding the footer
- Go to Marketing > Emails > Templates and open a template.
- Click Add Elements and drag Footer to the very bottom of the email.
- Click the block to open the Edit tab.
- Click directly into the text and type your business details.
- Highlight text to add links, such as your unsubscribe or privacy page, using the link icon.
- Set background color, text color, font and size so it matches the rest of the design.
- Adjust alignment and spacing.
- Use the Visibility tab if you need rules for devices or contacts.
- Preview on both desktop and mobile.
Replacing or removing it
Select the footer and click the trash icon to remove it, or drop in a fresh footer to start again.
Consistency across emails
Build the footer once, then save it as a reusable item so every campaign and template shares the same wording and links.
Good to know: Keep the unsubscribe link easy to find. A visible opt-out protects your sender reputation far better than hiding it.
