Understanding Pipeline Funnel and Stage Distribution Widgets

Two widgets for understanding how deals move through a pipeline — similar-looking, different questions.

Funnel widget

Shows sequential progression through stages. At each stage, the count includes every opportunity that reached that stage or later (including won). Works best for genuinely sequential pipelines. For non-sequential outcomes (no-shows, disqualified leads), use Stage Distribution instead, or enable "Allow Duplicate Opportunity."

Stage Distribution widget

Shows currently open opportunities by stage, with won/lost shown separately. Calculates conversion percentage per stage.

A few shared details

Both calculate based on last status change date, not creation date. Both require the "Dashboard stats" permission. Pipeline must be enabled for reporting. Both let you switch pipelines via dropdown.
