Add Notes to Custom Object Records

Custom object records support notes just like contacts and opportunities do — so you can log context directly against a property, vehicle, policy, or whatever else your custom object tracks.

Adding a note directly

  1. Open the custom object record.
  2. Go to its Notes panel.
  3. Add your note, the same way you would on a contact or opportunity record.

You can search and filter notes on a record by keyword, just like elsewhere in the CRM.

Sharing notes across related records

You can also associate a note that already exists on a contact or opportunity with a related custom object record, instead of writing a duplicate note. That note then appears on every connected record.

Automating notes with workflows

Use the Add to Note workflow action to have Vendi Today automatically add a note to a custom object record when something specific happens.

Why this is useful

For a business tracking something like properties or vehicles, being able to log notes directly against the "thing" itself keeps context where it actually belongs.
