Schedule Recurring (Evergreen) Posts
Recurring posts republish the same content on a repeating schedule: every day, week, month, or year. They suit evergreen material such as weekly tips, monthly showcases, or yearly anniversaries.
Set up a recurring post
- Go to Marketing > Social Planner and click + New Post, then Create New Post.
- Choose your accounts. If none are connected yet, you can still set up the schedule and will be asked to connect before saving.
- Write the post and add media.
- Open the Post menu and choose Schedule Recurring Posts.
- Pick a frequency:
- Day: Repeats daily at a set time.
- Week: Choose the weekdays, a date range, and a time.
- Month: Pick a day of the month and a time.
- Year: Pick a date and time once a year.
- Confirm to schedule.
Parent and child posts
The series is stored as one parent post in Content > Recurring, which generates individual child posts for each run.
- Editing the parent updates every upcoming child.
- Editing or deleting one child affects only that run.
- In the Calendar and List views you can open individual posts; deleting from the Content tab removes the whole series.
Best practices
- Review the series regularly so offers stay accurate.
- Consider the time zone of your audience.
- Some networks may flag repetitive content, so vary wording now and then.
- A running series cannot be paused. Delete it and recreate it if you need a break.
Good to know: Use Customize for each channel to give each network its own recurring version rather than a single shared message.
