View and Sort Custom Object Records

List View gives you a structured grid for your custom object records — built for scanning and comparing many records at once.

Sorting records

• Click the Sort button, choose a field, and pick ascending or descending order.
• Or click directly on a column header to toggle its sort direction.

Note that a few field types — Checkbox, Dropdown Multiple, and Textbox List — don't support sorting.

Customizing the layout

• Show or hide specific fields as columns.
• Resize columns by dragging their edges.
• Reorder columns.

How this fits with filtering and SmartLists

Filter to the right records, arrange them with List View, then save the whole thing as a SmartList if you'll want it again.
