Import Existing Facebook Posts with Post Sync

Post Sync brings recent posts from your connected Facebook Pages into Social Planner, so past and future content live side by side and old posts show up in Statistics.

Turn the feature on

Post Sync is a beta feature. Open Settings > Labs, search for Facebook Post Sync, and enable it for your account.

Enable sync for a Page

While connecting:

  1. Go to Marketing > Social Planner and click + Socials.
  2. Switch on Sync Posts Automatically.
  3. Click Connect Facebook and finish the sign-in.

For a Page that is already connected:

  1. In Social Planner, open Settings > Social Accounts > Facebook.
  2. Turn on Sync Posts next to the Page.

What gets imported

  • Posts from the last 30 days, and sometimes more history on the first import.
  • Text, images, and videos, with media processed automatically.
  • Syncing then continues in the background.
  • Insights refresh every 24 hours rather than live.

Review imported posts in the Planner views and their results in Statistics.

Good to know about the connection

  • Only connected Facebook Pages are synced.
  • If the login expires, syncing pauses and a reconnect prompt appears. Reconnect to resume.
  • Turning sync off stops future imports but does not delete posts that were already brought in.

When it helps

  • Setting up a new location and wanting its recent history on the calendar.
  • Reporting that should include posts you made directly on Facebook.

Good to know: Wait a day after turning sync on before judging the statistics, since insights update once every 24 hours.
