Global Custom Colors That Update Everywhere
Global Custom Colors are brand colors you define once and reuse across builders. Unlike the quick-access colors in a Design Kit, they stay linked: change a global color and every design using that exact swatch updates automatically.
How they differ from Design Kit colors
- Design Kit colors are quick-pick swatches that do not sync. Changing them leaves existing designs alone.
- Global Custom Colors are managed centrally and sync both ways, so one edit refreshes every place the color is applied.
Both can appear in the picker. The Global group only shows once you have saved at least one color.
Add and manage global colors
- Go to Marketing > Brand Boards > Global Settings.
- Click + Add, then Add New.
- Enter a name such as "Primary" or "Accent" and a HEX or RGB value.
- Click Save.
- To change one, click the pencil icon. To remove one, click the trash icon, noting that designs using it may change.
Import existing colors
If your brand colors are stored as custom values, go to Global Settings, click + Add, choose Import, select the values that hold valid colors, and confirm. Import copies them; the originals stay where they are.
Use them
Open a color picker in emails, Sites pages, forms and surveys, or countdown timers, and choose a swatch under Global Custom Colors. Click Manage in the picker to jump straight to Global Settings.
Good habits
- Name colors by role, not by shade.
- Before a large rebrand, duplicate important designs, then update the global colors.
- Deleting a color affects pickers, so check usage first.
Good to know: To rebrand a copied site or email for a new business, just edit the global colors and everything follows.
