Speed Up Entry With Address Auto-Complete

Address Auto-Complete turns the Address field into a smart search bar. As people type, matching addresses appear, and picking one fills in the street, city, state, country and postal code automatically.

Why use it

• Fewer typos and more consistent formatting in Contacts.
• Faster completion, especially on phones.
• Cleaner data for Workflows, filters and shipping.
• Works for most countries and postal formats.

Enable it

1. Open Sites > Forms (or Surveys) and edit your item.
2. Drag the Address field onto the canvas.
3. Click the field to open its settings panel.
4. Switch on Auto-Complete Address.
5. Optional: switch on Mandatory to Select Address in Search Bar so visitors must choose a suggestion instead of typing freely.
6. Click Preview, type a few characters of an address, and select a suggestion to confirm all parts fill in.
7. Click Save.

Keeping manual entry

Leave Mandatory to Select Address off if you want visitors to type an address by hand when their address is not suggested, for example new buildings or rural routes.

Existing forms

Older forms do not change automatically. Open each form or survey that should use it and enable the toggle.

Good to know: For delivery or service-area businesses, turn on the mandatory option so every submission carries a complete, standardized address.
