Import an Existing Email as a Template with Email AI

Instead of rebuilding an email you already have elsewhere, you can forward it to Vendi Today and let Email AI turn it into an editable template.

What you can import

Emails from most platforms work, as long as you can send a test or forward the message from your inbox. The import menu includes Import from any platform with AI plus options for popular tools such as Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and Kajabi. Choose the matching platform if there is one; otherwise use the general option.

Import steps

1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Templates.
2. Click + New and choose Import Email with AI.
3. In the import window, select where the email comes from.
4. Copy the address shown under Send an email to.
5. From your inbox or the other platform, send a test or forward the email to that address.
6. Return to the import screen in Vendi Today.
7. Choose Design Editor for visual editing or Code Editor for HTML control.
8. Click Continue.

Review the result

AI conversion is helpful, not perfect. Before using the template, check the layout, images, buttons, links, spacing, wording, merge fields and the mobile view. The finished template appears under Marketing > Emails > Templates like any other.

Updating later

If you change the original email, send the new version to the same import address and convert it again.

Which editor?

Pick the design editor for quick marketing edits. Choose the code editor if the email was built from custom HTML. Plain-text emails can be imported too.

Good to know: Only import emails you own or have rights to, and replace branding, links and legal footers with your own before sending.
