Reordering Blocks with Arrow Controls

Dragging blocks precisely can be fiddly, especially in long emails. Arrow controls let you move elements and whole layouts up or down with one click.

What the arrows move

• Elements: individual blocks such as text, images and buttons move within their current layout.
• Layouts: entire sections such as a header, body or footer move up or down in the overall email.

Using the arrows

1. Open Marketing > Emails and edit a template or campaign.
2. Hover over the element or layout you want to move.
3. Click the up or down arrow that appears near the top-left of the block.
4. The block moves instantly to its new position.
5. Repeat until the order feels right.

Combining with drag and drop

Arrows do not replace dragging. Use arrows for small, exact moves and drag for big jumps between layouts. You can also reorder from the Manage Elements list.

If you do not see the arrows

• Make sure your pointer is directly over the block.
• Refresh the editor if the controls still do not appear.
• Update your browser if the problem continues.

The controls are designed for desktop use.

Do I need to save?

Moves are kept as part of your editing session. As always, save your email before leaving the builder, or enable autosave if it is available to you.

Good to know: Use Preview after a big reshuffle to confirm the mobile reading order still makes sense.
