Resending RSS and Batch Emails to People Who Did Not Open

Resend to Unopened gives a second chance to contacts who missed your email. It works for RSS and batch-scheduled campaigns as well as standard sends.

Why it is useful

Weekly digests and phased sends often have plenty of recipients who simply did not notice the first message. A well-timed second email with a fresh subject line can recover many of them.

Steps

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns.
  2. Find the RSS or batch campaign in the list.
  3. Click the three dots on the right of its row.
  4. Choose Resend to Unopened.
  5. Enter a new subject line. This is optional but recommended.
  6. Choose when the resend should go out.
  7. Click Schedule.

Only contacts who did not open the original email are queued.

Best practices

  • Change the subject. Try a different angle or a question.
  • Wait long enough for people to open the first email, often two to three days.
  • Avoid repeating the resend more than once for the same message.
  • Review engagement afterward and learn which subject line worked.

What to expect

The resend appears as its own entry with its own statistics, so you can compare open rates with the original.

Batch resend

Support for resending across several campaigns at once is planned, so check back for updates.

Good to know: Open tracking is not perfect, so keep the resend gentle in tone and avoid implying that the person ignored you.
