Offering Add-Ons and Upsells at Booking Time
A customer booking a standard appointment is often happy to add something extra — a paraffin treatment, a rush turnaround, an extra 30 minutes — if you simply offer it at the right moment. Add-ons let you present those options directly on the booking page instead of relying on staff to upsell in person.
What counts as an add-on
An add-on is an optional extra tied to a specific service (or group of services) that a customer can select before confirming their booking. Add-ons can carry their own price, and depending on your setup, their own added duration on top of the base service length.
Setting up add-ons
- Open the service you want to attach add-ons to.
- Look for the Add-Ons (or extras/upsells) section within that service's configuration.
- Create each add-on with a name, price, and, if it changes the appointment length, extra duration.
- Decide whether each add-on is optional or required, and whether customers can select more than one.
- Save and preview the booking page to confirm add-ons appear as expected during checkout.
Where they show up
Add-ons typically appear after the customer picks a base service but before they choose a time slot, since selecting one can affect which slots are long enough to fit.
Good to know: If an add-on extends appointment length, test a booking end-to-end — a common mistake is adding price without adding the matching duration, which quietly overbooks your staff's schedule.
