Avoiding Email Sending Suspension

Sending gets automatically paused if bounce rate or provider rejection rate climbs too high — a protective circuit breaker.

Bounce-rate suspension

Above roughly 5% bounce rate triggers a pause. Healthy sits at 0–3%.

First two suspensions last 12 hours each; a third is treated as permanent, requiring manual support review.

Recovery: enable email verification to filter undeliverable addresses before sending again.

Provider block suspension

If Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook reject an unusually high share of your messages, a separate restriction applies — usually missing authentication, poor reputation, spammy content, or misconfiguration.

  1. Check your bounce/block breakdown under Settings > Email Services.
  2. Fix authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) first.
  3. Clean your list, review content.

Resets after 7 consecutive days under 1% block rate. Three blocks in 7 days also triggers manual review.

Preventing suspension in the first place

Verify addresses before sending, warm up a dedicated domain properly, send in smaller batches, use double opt-in with a visible unsubscribe link.
