Organize Products with Collections

Group your products into collections so customers can browse by category, season, or theme — without you having to manually reorganize your storefront every time your catalog changes.

Two types of collections

Manual Collections — you hand-pick exactly which products belong, and can drag and drop to set the display order. Best for curated groupings, like a "Staff Picks" or a limited-time bundle.

Smart Collections — products are added automatically based on rules you define (price range, title match, inventory level, etc.). The collection updates itself within minutes whenever a product's data changes, so a rule like "under $25" always stays accurate without manual upkeep.

Create a collection

  1. Go to Payments > Products > Collections.
  2. Click Create Collection and add a name, image, and SEO details.
  3. Choose Manual or Smart.
    • For Manual, search and add products directly.
    • For Smart, define your conditions and choose whether all or any of them must match.
  4. Save.

Good to know

  • A product can appear in more than one collection at the same time.
  • You can't switch a collection's type (Manual vs. Smart) after it's created — you'd need to create a new one.
