Duplicating a Calendar
Rather than building a similar calendar from scratch, you can duplicate an existing one and adjust just the parts that need to change.
Steps
- Go to Calendars > Calendar Settings.
- Find the calendar you want to copy, click the three-dot menu next to it, and select Duplicate.
- The new calendar appears as "Copy of [Original Name]." Rename it, review its settings, and click Save.
What carries over
The duplicate keeps nearly everything from the original, including:
- Calendar logo, name basis, and description
- Calendar group assignment
- Meeting invite title and meeting location settings
- Availability settings — weekly hours, buffers, and booking limits
- Forms, payment options, and notification preferences
- Custom styling and widget appearance
What doesn't carry over
- The duplicate gets its own new calendar ID and its own unique booking URL — it does not share a link with the original.
- Any workflows or automation triggers tied to the original calendar are not copied. You'll need to recreate or reassign those triggers separately for the new calendar.
- Existing booking links continue to point only to the original calendar, not the duplicate.
When this is useful
Duplicating is a fast way to spin up a near-identical calendar for a new team member, a seasonal variant of a service, or a second location — without re-entering every setting by hand.
