What Is a Calendar Group?
If your business has more than one calendar — one per staff member, one per service, one per location — sending customers a different link for each one gets confusing fast. A calendar group solves this by bundling multiple individual calendars behind a single booking link.
How it works
A calendar group is a container: it doesn't have its own availability or booking rules, but instead pulls together calendars that already exist and presents them to the customer as one combined booking experience. The customer opens a single link and picks who or what they want to book with, instead of you having to hand out — and keep track of — a separate link for every provider or service.
Why use one
Calendar groups are the right fit any time you want customers to choose between options themselves rather than you routing them manually:
- A studio with multiple instructors, where the customer picks who they want.
- A clinic with multiple providers offering the same type of appointment.
- A business offering several distinct services, each with its own calendar, shown together on one page.
Without a group, you'd need to share several different links and hope the customer picks the right one — or field the question yourself every time.
What a group is not
A group doesn't replace the need for individual calendars — each calendar still needs to exist on its own, with its own availability, staff, and settings, before it can be added to a group. The group is purely a presentation and access layer on top of calendars that are already configured.
Good to know: Because a group just organizes existing calendars, any changes you make to an individual calendar's availability or settings automatically show up correctly within the group — there's nothing extra to sync.
