Duplicate Elements and Slides With Cloning
Cloning copies something you have already configured, so repeated blocks take seconds instead of minutes.
What gets copied
A clone appears directly below the original and keeps:
- Style and layout: fonts, spacing, widths, alignment and theme.
- Validation: the Required toggle and any validation rules.
- Content: labels, placeholders, choices and helper text.
- Images: source, alignment and size.
Edits to the clone never change the original. Survey and quiz slides can be cloned too, with their visual design and layout.
Clone an element
- Open the form, survey or quiz in the builder.
- Hover over or click the element you want to duplicate.
- Click the Clone (duplicate) icon in its toolbar.
- Edit the new copy's label, options or settings as needed.
Clone a whole slide
- Open a survey or quiz and find the slide in the slide list.
- Click the slide's menu and choose Clone.
- Rename questions on the copy and adjust answers.
When cloning helps
- Repeating a rating question for several products.
- Building a multi-step intake where each step has the same intro image and heading.
- Reusing a polished consent block across slides.
Good to know: Fields tied to a specific contact custom field will map to the same field after cloning, so change the field mapping on the copy if it should save somewhere else.
