Post and Schedule TikTok Videos
With a connected TikTok account you can upload a video, write a caption, choose its visibility, and publish it or schedule it for later without relying on manual reminders.
Prerequisites
- A TikTok account connected under Social Planner > Settings.
- A video file within TikTok's limits: MOV, MP4, or WebM up to 1 GB; 3 to 180 seconds for personal accounts or up to 10 minutes for business accounts; 23 to 60 frames per second.
- Captions up to 150 characters for personal accounts or 2,200 for business accounts.
Create a TikTok post
- Go to Marketing > Social Planner and click + New Post.
- Pick your TikTok account in Post to.
- Upload your video, write the caption, and adjust the options shown, such as who can view it.
- Click Post and choose one of: Post now, Schedule post, Send for approval, Schedule recurring posts, or Add to queue.
Questions that come up
- Can I edit a scheduled TikTok post? You can change its time and some fields. If you need to replace the video, create a new post to avoid processing errors.
- Can I read TikTok comments in Social Planner? For comment replies and direct messages, use the automation tools described in the TikTok conversations article.
- A post failed. Why? The usual reasons are a disconnected profile, expired permissions, or a video that does not meet the specs. Reconnect or re-export the file and reschedule.
Good to know: TikTok caps accounts at 15 posts per 24 hours, so leave room if you also post from the TikTok app.
