Route LinkedIn Leads with the LinkedIn Lead Form Submitted Trigger
LinkedIn Lead Gen forms collect professional contacts right inside the platform. The LinkedIn Lead Form Submitted trigger enrolls each new lead into a workflow immediately, so you can text, email, assign or create a deal while they are still engaged.
Before you start
Connect your LinkedIn account and the page that owns the Lead Gen form in your integration settings, and map the form's fields to contact fields. This avoids the common issue of leads not entering the workflow.
Filters
- Page: the LinkedIn page that owns the form. Optional but useful for scoping.
- Custom fields: match mapped fields, such as company size or role.
Operators include Is, Contains Phrase, Does Not Contain Phrase, Is Empty and Is Not Empty. Multiple filters work together with AND logic.
Set it up
- Go to Automation > Workflows and click Create Workflow.
- Click Add Trigger and search for LinkedIn Lead Form Submitted.
- Name it, for example "LinkedIn leads - page scoped".
- Click Add filters and pick the page or custom field rules.
- Click Save Trigger, add actions, and publish.
Good actions
- Create an opportunity in the right pipeline.
- Assign the lead to the owner for that page.
- Send a personal introduction email or text.
- Start a nurture sequence and add a "LinkedIn" tag.
Settings worth checking
- Allow Re-entry: turn on while testing or if a person might submit twice; turn off if only the first submission should count.
- Stop on Response: pause nurture steps when the lead replies.
- Execution Logs: confirm each lead's path after submission.
Tips
- Start with just the page filter, confirm leads arrive, then add qualifiers.
- Keep one workflow per page for easier upkeep.
Good to know: Over-filtering at launch hides problems; add custom field conditions only after leads are flowing.
