Dragging Elements Freely with Automatic Layout Structure

With enhanced drag and drop, you can drop any element anywhere on the canvas and the editor builds the surrounding Section, Row and Column for you.

How It Works

Drag a Text element onto a blank page and it is automatically wrapped as Section, Row, Column, Text. Drag a Row and you get a Section with default columns. You can still add Sections, Rows and Columns the traditional way when you want complete manual control, but you no longer have to.

If you do not see this behavior in your editor, ask your account administrator or support team to switch on the enhanced drag and drop option.

Place and Move Elements

  1. Open a funnel or website page in the editor.
  2. Drag an element such as Text, Button or Image from the sidebar onto an empty area.
  3. Watch the guide outlines and drop zones to see where it will land.
  4. To move something already on the page, grab it anywhere. No move handle is needed.
  5. Hover over a Row and click + Add Column to expand it inline.

Reorder Columns

Hover over a row, grab a column, and drag it left or right within the same row. Use the drop indicator to see the new position, then release. Reordering is limited to the same row. It can change how columns stack on small screens, so check tablet and phone previews afterward.

Precision Tips

  • Zoom in for small adjustments.
  • Use rulers and guides where available.
  • Use Undo and Redo to experiment safely.

This applies to both funnels and websites, and existing pages are not changed.

Good to know: After moving elements around, flip through the mobile preview to make sure the stacking order still reads naturally.
