Verified Caller ID
A verified caller ID lets you show a phone number you already personally own — instead of your assigned business number — as the caller ID on outbound calls.
When to use it
This is useful when you want a call to appear to come from a number the recipient already recognizes (your personal cell, an existing business line) rather than a new number they've never seen.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Phone System > Phone Numbers.
- Under Add Number, select Add Verified Caller ID.
- Enter the number you want to verify.
- Answer the automated verification call and enter the code it provides.
- Once verified, open the configuration of the number you want it applied to and select Use your Verified Number as Caller ID for outbound calls.
Limits
You can have up to 10 verified caller IDs on your account. Some regions apply their own regulatory restrictions on using a verified ID for domestic calls, so availability can vary by country.
