Choose Which Phone Number Sends and Receives SMS

If your business has more than one phone number set up, you can control which number a text is sent from, and which of a contact's numbers it goes to.

Choosing the "From" number

Click the dropdown in the SMS tab of the message composer to see the numbers available to you. Each option shows a friendly name and the team member it's assigned to, if any. By default, Vendi Today selects whichever number was last used to message that particular contact.

Choosing the "To" number

If a contact has more than one phone number saved, click the dropdown next to the To field to pick which one you're texting. If there's no prior conversation with this contact, the number marked as their primary defaults in automatically.

Who can access which numbers

• Admins can send from any number configured on the account.
• Regular users can access their default number, whatever number they used last with that contact, any number specifically assigned to them, and any unassigned numbers.

Why this matters

For businesses running multiple lines — different departments, different campaigns, different locations — this makes sure texts go out from (and land on) the right number every time, without you having to double-check manually before every send.
