Restore a Deleted Workflow
Deleted a workflow by mistake? Admins can bring it back from the Deleted tab within 30 days.
Restore steps
- Go to Automation > Workflows.
- Click the Deleted tab in the workflow list.
- Find the workflow you want back.
- Click Restore.
To delete a workflow in the first place, you are asked to type its name as confirmation.
What to expect
- Only admins can restore workflows.
- The workflow returns in Draft, never published. Review it and publish when ready.
- It lands at the top level of the list, so reapply any folder permissions you had.
- Triggers and actions come back with their original settings.
- Past enrolment history and execution logs stay intact.
- Contacts who were inside when it was deleted are not brought back. Anyone who was waiting in a wait step is removed from that run.
Timing rules
- A workflow shows in Deleted for 30 days, then it is gone for good.
- Allow about 30 minutes after deleting before restoring, because deletion takes a moment to complete.
- A freshly restored workflow can't be deleted again for 48 hours.
Before you republish
- Open the workflow and check each trigger and action.
- Confirm any connected accounts and templates still exist.
- Re-enrol contacts you want to continue, using the Add to Workflow action or bulk action.
- Publish.
Good to know: If you're unsure whether you still need a workflow, switch it to Draft instead of deleting it.
