Customize Countdown Timer Labels
Under every number on a timer sits a small label such as Days, Hours, Minutes, or Seconds. You can reword, translate, or hide these labels so the timer matches your brand voice and your audience's language.
Defaults
When you create a timer, Vendi Today fills in starter labels based on your account language. You can leave them as they are or replace them with anything you like: "Hrs", "Heures", or campaign phrasing such as "Shopping days left".
Change the Labels
- Go to Marketing, then Countdown Timers.
- Click an existing timer's name, or click + New to start one.
- In the left sidebar, open the Styling tab.
- Find the Labels section.
- For each unit, use the dropdown to set it to Visible or Hidden.
- Type your own wording for Day, Hour, Minute, and Second.
- Click Save.
Things to Know
- Updates are retroactive, so every live placement of that timer refreshes with the new wording.
- A timer holds one set of labels. If your email needs different wording from your landing page, duplicate the timer and give each copy its own text.
- Labels are cosmetic only. Redirects, links, and expiry behavior do not change.
- Automatic defaults may need a quick manual touch for dialects, slang, or abbreviations.
Good to know: Changing labels is a fast way to localize a campaign without designing a new graphic for each language.
