Setting Up Service Pricing Tiers and Packages

Not every customer wants — or should pay for — the same version of a service. Pricing tiers let you offer a "basic," "standard," and "premium" version of the same underlying appointment, each with its own price and, if needed, its own duration.

Tiers vs. separate services

You can technically create three entirely separate services to represent three tiers, but that clutters your service menu and makes reporting harder to read. Where your calendar supports pricing tiers or packages at the service level, it's cleaner to keep one service with selectable price options underneath it.

Building a tiered service

  1. Open the service and look for pricing options, packages, or tiers in its settings.
  2. Add each tier with its own label (e.g., "Basic," "Deluxe"), price, and duration if it differs from the base service.
  3. Set a default tier so the booking page doesn't show a blank price before the customer chooses.
  4. Confirm whether tier selection happens before or after time-slot selection, since a longer tier will affect which slots are available.

Packages that bundle sessions

If you're selling a package of multiple sessions (like "5-visit punch card") rather than a single longer appointment, that's usually handled through your payment/product setup rather than the calendar itself — the calendar still books one session at a time, while the package tracks how many sessions remain.

Good to know: Keep tier names short and specific on the booking page — vague labels like "Tier 1" and "Tier 2" create support questions that a clear name like "45-Minute Consultation" avoids entirely.
