Track Product Cost, Price, and Margin

Record what a product actually costs you to deliver, and Vendi Today will automatically calculate your margin — in both dollar amount and percentage — so you can see profitability without a separate spreadsheet.

Set it up

1. Go to Payments > Products and open (or create) a product.
2. In the Pricing section, check Add Margin.
3. Enter either the cost price or the margin (as an amount or a percentage) — the other value calculates automatically.
4. Save.

If a product has variants, repeat this for each variant's own pricing section, since cost can differ by variant.

Where this data shows up

• Margin recalculates automatically any time you change the product's price.
• Cost price flows into your transaction CSV exports as a dedicated "Line Item Cost Price" column, so you can analyze profitability outside Vendi Today if you want to.
• Cost price is internal only — customers never see it, no matter where the product is sold.
