Set Up Event Tickets and Coupon Codes
Ticket types control what attendees can buy and when. On a ticketed event you can mix as many free and paid tiers as you like.
Create a Ticket Type
- Open your event and go to the Tickets tab.
- Click + Add Ticket Type.
- Enter the Ticket name (up to 100 characters), such as General Admission or VIP.
- Choose a Pricing method: Fixed price or Free.
- If fixed, enter the Price.
- Set the Quantity of seats for this tier.
- Set the Sale period with start and end date and time. These use the event's timezone, shown at the bottom of the panel.
- Save the ticket.
Each ticket shows a status: On Sale, Paused, Hidden, Not Yet on Sale, or Sale Ended.
Add Discount Codes
- In Tickets, open Coupon Codes.
- Give the coupon an internal name, such as Early Bird.
- Type a code or click Generate.
- Enter the percentage discount, for example 20.
- Set the Active period.
- Optionally limit total redemptions or restrict the code to selected ticket types.
Attendees redeem it by clicking Have a coupon code? on the ticket selection screen, and the order summary updates immediately.
Planning Tips
- Layer ticket windows (early bird, regular, last chance) instead of changing prices manually.
- Use limited quantity for VIP tiers to create natural scarcity.
- Event coupon codes work only for Events, not for other products.
Good to know: Duplicate an existing ticket type from its three-dot menu to build similar tiers faster.
