Connect LinkedIn Profiles and Company Pages
Once LinkedIn is connected, you can schedule and publish to a personal profile, one or more company Pages, or both, directly from Social Planner.
What you need first
- Admin rights on any company Page you want to add.
- If you also plan to use LinkedIn for advertising, a login with Super Admin or Campaign Manager access to the ad account. Without it the ad account may not appear.
Connection steps
- Open Marketing > Social Planner and click the gear icon.
- In the Social Accounts tab, click + Connect Social.
- Choose Connect LinkedIn.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and click Allow to approve the access request.
- Pick the profile or Page you want and click Add.
- The account shows as Connected, with its type and token validity date.
You can add several LinkedIn accounts, including both a profile and Pages, and choose between them each time you write a post.
Keeping the connection healthy
- LinkedIn access lasts about 60 days. When it ends you will see a Reconnect button; click it and approve again.
- A Permissions Missing label means your role on that Page is too low or a permission was skipped. Reconnect, accepting everything, or ask a Page super admin to upgrade your role.
- If a connected ad account is not listed, check that it is active and that the Marketing terms were accepted in LinkedIn Campaign Manager. A private browser window can help when a stale session is the cause.
Good to know: Check the token date in Social Accounts monthly so a lapsed login never interrupts a scheduled campaign.
