Link Your Privacy Policy Wherever You Collect Data

Whenever you collect names, phone numbers or emails, tell people how you use them. A visible privacy policy link is often required by privacy laws and by text-messaging carriers. This article is general information, not legal advice; ask your own legal counsel to review your policy.

Create the policy page

  1. Go to Sites > Websites or Funnels and open or create one.
  2. Add a new page titled "Privacy Policy".
  3. Paste your policy text and publish.
  4. Copy the page address.

Add the link in each place

  • Websites and funnels: add a Text element such as "By submitting, you agree to our Privacy Policy", highlight the words, click Link and paste the address.
  • Forms and surveys: use the same text link, or the Terms & Conditions element, then choose Edit Link.
  • Calendars: place a text link on the page that holds the calendar, or use a custom form with a terms element.
  • Order forms: use a text link, or enable Terms and Conditions in the order form's advanced settings.
  • Chat widget: add the link to the text in the widget description.
  • Store checkout: edit the checkout page, select the Checkout element, switch on Enable Terms and Conditions and add your links to the consent text.

Good to know: Put the same policy address everywhere, so a single update keeps all your forms consistent.
