Set Up Google Analytics 4 Event Tracking

Send custom events straight from Vendi Today workflows into GA4 using its Measurement Protocol.

Setting up the workflow action

1. Add the Add to Google Analytics action, choose Google Analytics 4.
2. Get your Measurement ID from Data Stream settings.
3. Define your event — name it, optionally add an Event Value.
4. Generate an API secret in Measurement Protocol API secrets.
5. Save and publish.

Checking that it's working

Data typically takes 24–48 hours to appear in GA4.

Why use this over the general Google Analytics action

The more direct, GA4-native path if you've fully moved off Universal Analytics.
