Using the Text Element

The Text element is the workhorse of every email. Use it for headlines, paragraphs, short captions, lists and anything else made of words.

What it can do

  • Heading styles from H1 to H4, plus regular paragraph text.
  • Font, size and color changes on the whole block or on a selected phrase.
  • Bold, italic, underline and lists.
  • Hyperlinks for inline calls to action.
  • Alignment and padding controls so the block sits exactly where you want it.

Adding and styling a Text block

  1. Open Marketing > Emails > Templates and edit or create a template.
  2. Click Add Elements and drag Text into a layout column.
  3. Click the block, then type or paste your copy.
  4. Highlight words to style them with the floating toolbar.
  5. Open the Edit tab to set padding around the block.
  6. Open the Visibility tab if the text should only show on certain devices or to certain contacts.
  7. Preview in desktop and mobile modes.

Headings without bold

Headings are bold by default. To remove the weight while keeping the heading level, select the heading text and press the B button on the toolbar. Press it again to restore bold.

Linking text

Select a word or phrase, click the link icon, paste the destination URL and confirm. The link opens whatever page, file or trigger link you point it to.

Good to know: Keep one idea per Text block. Shorter blocks are easier to reorder, hide on mobile or personalize later.
