CC and BCC in the Email Composer
When replying to a contact by email, you can loop in other people the same way you would in any email client — visibly with CC, or invisibly with BCC.
The difference
- CC (Carbon Copy) — added recipients are visible to everyone else on the email.
- BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) — added recipients are hidden from everyone else; only you (and the platform) know they're included.
How to use it
In the email composer, click the CC or BCC field to expand it, then either select an existing contact or type a new email address directly.
Things to know
- Adding an outside email address to CC or BCC does not automatically create a new contact record for that person.
- If the CC'd or BCC'd person is already a contact in your system, the conversation still shows up under the primary recipient's thread — not a separate thread for the CC'd person.
- This works across all connected email channels — Gmail, Outlook, Mailgun, and standard SMTP.
- Once a thread has started, replies default to "reply all," and recipients added via CC/BCC can't be individually removed partway through the thread.
- If you're using Gmail or Outlook, CC/BCC changes stay in sync between Vendi Today and your connected mailbox.
