Collecting Quick Feedback with the Inline Forms and Surveys Element

This element lets readers rate something with one click inside the email, with no multi-field form to fill in. It suits satisfaction checks, NPS-style questions and content ratings.

Feedback types

  • 1 to 10 score: recommendation or satisfaction.
  • Like/Dislike: simple sentiment, such as whether an article helped.
  • 5-star rating: product, service or experience reviews.
  • NPS-style: a recommendation score.

Choose the simplest format that answers your question.

How responses are recorded

A response is saved the moment the contact clicks an option, whether or not the page they land on afterward finishes loading. Results appear under the campaign's Statistics > Submissions, separate from the submissions of standard forms and surveys built in Sites.

Setting it up

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns and open or create a campaign.
  2. Drag the Forms/Surveys element into the email.
  3. Select a feedback type and style it.
  4. Enter a unique Title, such as Post-Purchase Satisfaction or September NPS, so results are easy to tell apart.
  5. Optionally set a Success URL for a thank-you page, review request, booking page or follow-up resource.
  6. Preview, save and send a test to yourself.
  7. Click an option and confirm it is recorded and that the redirect works.

Switching types

You can change the feedback type while editing. If you switch back during the same session, your earlier settings are restored. Recheck the Title and Success URL after switching.

Reviewing and exporting

Open the campaign, go to Statistics, then Submissions. Use the export option there when you need the data elsewhere.

Good to know: Interactive content can render differently across inbox apps, so test in the apps your audience actually uses.
