Connecting iCloud Calendar

If you or your team run on Apple devices and keep your schedule in iCloud, you can connect it to keep your booking calendar and personal calendar aligned — though the setup looks a little different from Google or Outlook since Apple doesn't offer the same one-click OAuth flow.

How the connection differs

iCloud calendar connections typically use an app-specific password rather than a standard sign-in screen, since Apple requires a separate generated password for third-party apps connecting to iCloud services. Once connected, the sync behavior works the same way as other providers — bookings push out to iCloud, and events marked busy in iCloud block that time on your booking page.

Setting it up

  1. Generate an app-specific password from your Apple ID account settings (not your regular Apple ID password).
  2. Go to your profile's Calendar Connections section and select iCloud.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and the app-specific password you generated — not your normal login password.
  4. Select which iCloud calendar to use as your linked calendar for sync.

Common setup mistakes

The most frequent failure is entering the regular Apple ID password instead of the app-specific one — the connection will simply be rejected. The second most common issue is an app-specific password that was later revoked from the Apple ID account, which silently breaks sync until a new one is generated and re-entered.

Good to know: App-specific passwords don't automatically expire, but they can be revoked at any time from your Apple ID settings — if iCloud sync stops working with no other changes made, check there first.
